About Finwin Java
Using FinWin with java requires the same 2 processes as any other FinWin platform - a way to make an http post request and a parser to handle the return data. You may well want to create your own HTTP POST class, but if you want a head start, FinWin has created one for you. As for parsers, our developers have tried the JAXP parser from Sun with great success. Below you will find an excellent example of using the finwin java post utility to retrieve a quote and JAXP to parse out the values.

You can use FinWin's utility to make a post request to a FinWin URL and retrieve data and parse the results. To download the Java Jar file and related documentation click on a link below:

To install the FinWin Java Request Utility:

Edit the CLASSPATH to reference the location of the jar file (com.finwin.util.jar) Use the import key word (import com.finwin.util.*;) in your .JSP page to import the objects from the utility.
